The Soundarchive Vertriebs- und Verlagsgesellschaft mbH (hereinafter referred to as ‘Soundarchive’) takes data privacy seriously and is always looking to collect, process, and use personal data in accordance with the applicable data privacy laws.
In this statement, you give your consent that your personal data may be collected, processed, and used by Soundarchive as specified below. This consent may be withdrawn at any time with immediate effect.
1. Extent and use of the data collected by Soundarchive
If you request the sample file of a work in MP3 quality for downloading, Soundarchive will permanently store the e-mail address as specified by you for the purposes of customer services and prevention of misuse.
If you perform the registration required in the course of a licencing procedure, the personal data specified by you will be permanently stored. Thus, in the case of a subsequent licencing procedure, you do not need to enter all data again. In fact, the data is automatically retrieved after entering e-mail address and password.
2. Disclosure of data
Soundarchive does not sell or rent personal data to third parties. Soundarchive only passes your data to third companies where required for the management of the contractual relationship or the contract negotiations.
If you wish to purchase a licence associated with a work, Soundarchive will pass your personal data to PayPal (Europe) Ltd. where required for the execution of the payment transaction. For PayPal transactions, its respective privacy terms will apply.
If you enter into a licence agreement with us or place an enquiry with us relating to the licencing of a work that cannot be licenced directly via SCORBE.com, Soundarchive is entitled to pass the personal data supplied by you for these purposes to the licenser of this work.
Data will only be passed to investigating authorities as far as Soundarchive’s legal obligation is mandatory.
3. Use of cookies
Soundarchive makes use of so-called pre-session cookies. A cookie is a small file stored by your web browser and used to realise certain user functions. The cookie renders invalid as soon as the browser is closed. When you visit SCORBE.com again, a new cookie will be created. Persistent cookies are not used by Soundarchive. If cookies are disabled in your web browser, some functions of SCORBE.com are limited.
4. Safety precautions
Soundarchive meets high technical security standards. Thus it is all but impossible for third parties to access your data. Absolute protection against hacker attacks cannot be guaranteed.
For storage and transmission, your password for login purposes is always encrypted. This means, that passwords cannot be retrieved by Soundarchive, as well. If you have lost your password, a procedure is provided to set up a new password. In this procedure, you will be verified by e-mail.
5. Deletion of personal data
You can withdraw your consent relating to the storage of your personal data at any time in written or electronic form.
