When in 1999 „Mambo No.5“ hit the pole position in the charts of more then 20 countries, even the German Latin-Pop Singer Lou Bega and his producer Goar B didn`t expect to start an international "Mambo-Fever" and would be awarded as the newcomer of the year. “Mambo No.5” is until today the fastest Nr.1 entry in the US airplay charts in history.
Lou Bega, born in Munich is the son of an Ugandian father, his mother hails from Southern Italy. Melting cultures and spreading joy of life and optimism are influencing Lou until today.
As a teenager he went to Miami for a couple of years– a Hotspot for Latin-American Musicians. When he returned to Munich in 1996, Goar B (Musician, Producer, Manager and owner of the Unicade Music Group) discovered Lou`s immense talents, coached him and together they developed the song idea for "Mambo Nr.5", a "Hommage" to the instrumental of Perez Prado from 1952. 
In summer 1999 the single became a worldwide hit and was leading the Charts in more than 20 Countries. Producer Goar B created with Lou Bega an own music style by merging the music from the 40s and 50s with modern musical elements. From the album „A little bit of Mambo“ more titles like „I got a girl“ and „Mambo Mambo“ became hits. The Album was honoured in over 40 countries with more than 70 Gold- und Platinum awards. The German award „ECHO“ was given to Lou Bega in two categories and he was nominated 5 times. „GRAMMY“-nominations followed in the USA, the „WORLD MUSIC AWARD“ in Cannes, the „BLOCKBUSTER ENTERTAINMENT AWARD“ in Los Angeles and many others. On his 2nd Album „Ladies and Gentlemen“ Lou Bega sings a Duett with „Compay Segundo“ of the „Buena Vista Social Club“, who passed away in 2003 . His 3rd Album „Lounatic“ was released in 2006. Until today Lou Bega tours with his Cuban Band and his exotic dancers around the world. Highlights were a US Tour mit CHER in 22 cities and „Mega Live Shows“ in South America: Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo Bombay, New Delhi, Madras, Bangalore and Calcutta are the stations. In Las Vegas, Tokyo, Moskau, Hong Kong and the Emirates the Lou Bega Shows leave a entuthiastic audience. Until today, International Corporations, Kings and Queens are booking Lou Bega and his Live Show for private shows or Corporate Events.
